With Emma O’Neil, Director at CyberWest Hub, at CyberConnect
CyberWest Hub’s CyberConnect landed at The Globe in May, and it turned into one of those evenings where the hallway conversations are as useful as the programme.
GRC, but make it interesting
The panel took on governance, risk and compliance in government — the part of cyber security that usually gets described as unavoidable rather than interesting. A live audience quiz kept everyone in it: instead of a one-way briefing, the room worked through the questions together, which is a far better way to find out what people actually believe about risk.
The people in the room
We met the directors behind CyberWest Hub, a representative working for the US government, and a good number of local businesses trying to solve the same problems we see every week. Those conversations are the reason we keep turning up to these events — they tell us what is really landing with organisations.
Thanks to CyberWest Hub for putting together such a great event. Already looking forward to the next one.
